Becky has had over 20 years of experience teaching piano, singing, music theory and music performance to a wide variety of ages and levels of ability. She completed a Bachelor Degree in Music in 2007 with the AGM:ED in Melbourne, has achieved her Licentiate Diploma in Pianoforte Teaching and Associate Diploma in Modern Singing with the IMEB and is currently studying a Masters Degree in Secondary Music Education.
Becky has worked in many educational settings, helping students to confidently read music, develop strong technical skills and self expression with their chosen instrument and encourage self discovery in different genres of music.
Becky has successfully guided past students through formal examinations in performance and music theory, which she believes is an essential process for developing musical skills and knowledge, as well as striving for mastery.
Becky’s love for music comes from a lifetime of dedication to her musical studies, along with extensive experience in instrumental and vocal performance, but her passion undoubtedly comes straight from the heart. Nothing brings her more joy and satisfaction then being able to nurture and inspire learners of all ages; to discover their interests in music, to realise their capabilities and encourage them to strive for excellence in their chosen discipline, as her past teachers had done for her.
