Geralyn Cheers - PIANO

Geralyn Cheers is the co-owner of Powerpoint Music and has been teaching piano for the past 30 years. She loves to inspire beginners - adults and children alike - on their journey through the joy of music, as well as working through more formal grades and AMEB exams with her more advanced students. She has a good rapport with her students and families 

Geralyn completed a Diploma of Teaching, Major in Music at the University of Western Sydney from 1984 -1987. She has been a primary school teacher for 12 years between 1987 and 1999, has studied piano, musicianship and violin through the AMEB and is an accredited Teacher with the Music Teachers Association.

Geralyn also plays in a 6 piece band named "Rapunzel's Party" which plays around the Highlands at various venues. In this group she sings and plays guitar and bass..

Geralyn enjoys the team spirit at Powerpoint Music and sense of community between teachers, students and families. Being in a family business allows you to share in other's lives and feel you can have a worthwhile influence in some small way... and what better way than through something as wonderful as music !
