VICTORIA KNOX - Singing technique tuition and coaching

TEACHING DAY: Thursday only

Victoria’s focus for singing tuition is based on correct technique through vocal placement and breath control.  Students will learn how to achieve vocal resonance and how the structures within the head space are utilised to achieve a fully rounded, controlled vocal sound supported by breath control.  

Victoria studied singing at the New South Wales Conservatorium of Music under Elizabeth Todd.  She sang with The Australian Opera under the tutelage of Sharolyn Kimmorley and Michael Parker, Spanish Opera, New South Wales Opera under Roger Cavell and Bernd Benthaak and The Song Company under Roland Peelman.  With a large soprano repertoire, she has sung in opera, oratorio and concert Lieder and Art Song.  Her later teachers included Elizabeth Fretwell and Donald Monroe.  She has performed for Governor Rear Admiral Peter Sinclair AC at NSW Government House, for Prom Praise at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, with Chatswood Musical Society, the Emmanuel Singers, in concert with the Sydney Opera Group, the City of Sydney Eisteddfod Winners Concert on stage of the Sydney Opera House, the Scottish Society and has performed with numerous community societies and churches in both oratorio and opera.  She has won many awards for singing, including the ABC recording award.  

Victoria now lives in the Southern Highlands and teaches vocal technique for Opera, Oratorio and Lieder / Art Song.
